Anne has lived in Petaluma for the past 10 years with her partner, Leland Fishman. She grew up in Milwaukee, WI where she completed an undergraduate degree at Marquette University. She has her MBA from the University of San Francisco.
She retired from a corporate finance career in the retail industry. She was Vice President of Finance, Real Estate and Treasurer of Cost Plus World Market. Other corporate positions were with Bed, Bath and Beyond, Mervyns, and Dun & Bradstreet. She served on the Board of the Petaluma Woman’s Club for 3 years; 2 years as Treasurer of the Petaluma Yacht Club; 8 years as Treasurer of Boy Scouts of America troop. She currently serves as the President of The Village Network of Petaluma and previously served as the Treasurer.
Robert Bailey founded AMS Planning & Research in 1989 a national firm providing professional planning, management, and coordination for the development of scores of cultural projects throughout the US and abroad. He has an MBA in Arts Administration from York University, Toronto program and taught there from 1972 to 1979.
His prior nonprofit Board services include the executive committees of the California Confederation of the Arts, Cultural Arts Council of Sonoma County, Long Beach Historic Preservation Foundation and the Petaluma Arts Center. A forty-year resident of Petaluma, he, with his wife, Mary King, raised two children who live in the Bay Area and recently were blessed with their first Grandchild.
Laurelle was born and raised in San Francisco and the Bay Area. In 1985, she and her husband moved to Petaluma, where they have loved living and raising their family. She spent her career working in administration and accounting for non-profits, a preschool, and K-8 charter schools, and is now mostly retired. Laurelle volunteered extensively with her children’s schools and sports teams, as well as the Boys and Girls Club and Rotary. In 2021, when Anne Mirante called her, she was excited to join the board as the Treasurer. She believes very much in the quality of life provided by VNP membership for an aging population and has enjoyed meeting and working with such a dedicated group of volunteers.

Joe Stern combines a wealth of experience with a passion for both education and retirement planning. Joe
helps clients by designing custom strategies that helps put them on their chosen path to retirement. Joe lives
in Petaluma with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing and hiking. In addition to the
Village Network of Petaluma, he also serves on the board of directors of the Petaluma Healthcare District.
A lifelong Petaluman, Tom was raised in the Cinnabar School District. A student body president at Petaluma High, he continued his education with a BS from Stanford and graduate programs at SSU in Environmental Studies and Finance. His employment background includes Assistant to the President at SSU, Research Director for Operating Engineers Local 3, Director of the Speaker’s Office of Majority Services, and Chief Administrative Officer of the State Assembly. He is a veteran of assembly campaign management having directed or worked in over 100 campaigns. He was Finance Chair for Mayor Agnos of San Francisco from his election through his mayoralty. After a first career in politics and government Tom pursued his interest in golf and golf architecture founding Course Co, Inc in 1989.
The golf management company now operates over 40 courses in seven western states. Tom retired as CEO and president of Course Co in 2022 and now serves as Chairman. In retirement his focus is on community service. He serves on boards of First Tee North Coast (chair), Petaluma Health Center, and Sonoma State Foundation.
Nancy Frank, MPH, is an accomplished public health professional with expertise in planning, development, and evaluation of comprehensive, multimillion dollar health, human service, grantmaking and financial education programs. She has worked in the field of aging for nearly a decade with an emphasis on prevention and early intervention.
Nancy recently co-led development of Petaluma’s Age-Friendly Needs Assessment and has supported Age-Friendly planning in several other communities in California. She designed and led development of the innovative Gateway Program in Berkeley, CA. Nancy is also fostering cats and fostering the development of the PetalumaWest glass studio.
Miranda is an attorney with the Law Offices of Bridget Mackay in Petaluma, where she practices in estate planning, estate/trust administration, and elder law. She moved to Petaluma in 2015 from San Geronimo Valley, where she was raised. Miranda formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Petaluma Animal Services Foundation, and loves spending time with her niece and nephew, as well as her beloved dog Obie.
Carol and her husband have lived in Petaluma for nearly four decades. She taught and worked as a mentor teacher, department chair, gifted student coordinator and swim coach at Rancho Cotate High School.
Subsequently, she served as a project coordinator at Sonoma State University, as Asst. Principal at Petaluma High, Principal at Drake High School and an administrator in the Tamalpais Union High School District. She retired in 2009. Carol serves on the Sonoma County Parks Measure M Oversight Commission, reviewing the annual funding for local and county parks. She also is currently a member of the Sonoma County Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, appointed by Supervisor Rabbitt. Carol served on the Board of Directors of The Sonoma County Parks Foundation for eight years, including six years as Board Chair. She is actively working to preserve the Mark West Family Burying Ground that contains the graves of her great, great grandfather, Mark West, and twelve other ancestors. She is the Sports Director for the Sons of Norway Freya Lodge. A seventh generation Californian, she has one son and two young granddaughters.
Kim grew up In Petaluma until 1986. After receiving her degree in Communication at U.C. Davis, and her teaching credential from Dominican College, Kim taught English in Hollister before becoming a corporate trainer at Siebel Systems in San Mateo. In 1995 Kim took a role at the biotech company Genentech / Roche as manager of training, And for the next 15 years held various roles related to organizational development including her most recent roles of team performance coach and executive coach. In 2020, Kim returned to Petaluma with her husband Roger to be closer to her mother Yvonne.
Kim began to explore the various resources available to seniors in the area, both for her mother and for herself and husband. The Petaluma Village Network stood out as a rich resource enabling community members to lead happy, safe, fulfilled lives in their senior years. Kim began volunteering with the Village in spring of 2022 as a member of the Program team, bringing speakers and events to the community. Kim Then joined the board in December of 2022 to share her experience in organizational development with the board and the community.
Matt spent 17 years in the greater Bay Area before moving to Seattle in 1995 with his wife and two children, where they lived for 27 years on Bainbridge Island. He and his wife, Gretchen (who grew up in Fairfax in Marin County), settled in Petaluma in 2022 to be closer to old friends and family. Early in his career Matt worked in the non-profit sector for the Sierra Club in San Francisco. Since business school, he has worked in the software industry for 30 years focusing on business development, partnerships and finance.
