Is that for real? How to recognize spam in email and text messages.

 

Join us for tips and tricks on how to recognize if the email (or text message) you just received is a legitimate message or some spammer or criminal trying to trick you into stealing your money or personal information. We'll cover a number of things you can do to protect yourself. Don't be the person who got fooled! Be the person that outsmarted the spammers.

 

In the second hour, our tech volunteers will be available to help you individually, or in small groups, with your smartphone, laptop, or tablet. Bring your most pressing questions and we will do our best to resolve them for you. Your questions are the driving force for this workshop.

To help us help you, we ask that you bring your device fully charged to the workshop, and have your device's access code and your passwords for any services you would like help with.
