Important volunteer refresher on October 18, 9:30-11:30 AM . Refreshments provided.
It has been a long time since we’ve convened our friendly visitors and interest group volunteers to acknowledge your dedication and important contributions, as well as to share successes and best practices. It is also an opportunity to review some important policies that are key to our operational efficiency.
At this gathering, you will meet Monique Parrish, a PhD in public health, licensed social worker, and a high-level policy consultant who will deliver a keynote address on the mental, behavioral, and cognitive changes in the aging process; and how all volunteers - as our eyes and ears - can better spot these signs to improve our response to members' changing needs. We have been very fortunate to work with Monique, this year, as part of the Healthy Petaluma grant the Village received in the spring.
Whether you are a new or seasoned Village Interest Group leader or a Friendly Visitor or In Touch Caller, our office values your experience and we encourage you to attend, celebrate, learn, and share.
